McHenry County Living

McHenry County Living is an established lifestyle publication for readers living in McHenry County, Illinois. They provide high-quality and uplifting journalism, along with a variety of information about, and for the community. After many years of being a printed bi-montly magazine, McHenry County Living went all online. We helped them organize and migrate their existing online content to WordPress and designed a custom theme for them, with a very custom back-end, to highlight events. To keep in close contact with their audience, we also helped them migrate to MailChimp, and built a custom MailChimp template so they could do so easily and stylishly. We maintain a close relationship with them and are often upgrading things.

Our Client's Thoughts

When I took my print magazine digital two years ago, I knew the first investment was going to be a total overhaul of the website. It was a huge project with ambitious goals. 82 Birds exceeded my expectations. Bibi with her attention to detail and eye for good design created the aesthetic and Ben with his development expertise brought it to life in a functional and user-friendly way. We collaborated on MCL's weekly e-newsletter, The Weekender, to match the look/feel and functionality of the website. One major aspect I cherish about working with 82 Birds is how they empower me to manage my products. Web can be intimidating and technical, but Ben is very patient and goes above and beyond to familiarize clients with the back-end of their products. Our relationship continues as MCL grows and our needs evolve. It's a pleasure working with likeminded, authentic people in the community and I highly recommend 82 Birds' expertise to anyone looking to move their business forward.
