Airports
Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD)
About 50 miles from the wedding site. Best airport to fly into if you'd like to stay and go site-seeing in Chicago.

General Mitchell International Airport (MKE)
Also about 50 miles from the wedding site, but you will be flying into Wisconsin as opposed to IL. Because you won't be in a large city, traffic will be less, and most likely so will airfare.

Greater Rockford Airport (RFD)
About 60 miles from the wedding site. Rockford is Southwest of the Dowell residence and about 90 miles away from Chicago. We would suggest the only reason to fly into this airport is if airline fees are significantly less expensive.

If the second most interesting thing besides attending our wedding (of course! ;)) is to view the beautiful city, we've reserved rooms at the Hotel Indigo Chicago. If viewing Chicago interests you, but you'd rather be somewhere in between Richmond and the city, we've blocked off some rooms for you in the beautiful Hotel Indigo. Discounted room rates are $89/night for a king bed (2 guests) and $99/night for 2 double beds (4 guests).

Save Inn - Richmond
If you'd prefer to stay as close to the wedding site as possible, this hotel would be your top pick. Discounted room rates are $55/night for two double beds or a queen size bed.

Hampton Inn - McHenry
This hotel is close to the wedding site (about a 15 minute drive), but includes more amenities than the Save Inn in Richmond (indoor pool, fitness center, etc.). Rates are $94/night. Up to 5 people can be accommodated in 1 room.
