How we hatched, and how we grow
In the beginning, we knew we wanted 82 Birds to be a multi-disciplinary web and design shop. We sprouted with separate roots—one in design and creativity, and one in web and technology. When we began brainstorming about the idea of fusing our talents, we decided that we’d keep our expertise separate. Still, because we are both schooled in the others’ skillfulness, it’s easy to keep the exchange of knowledgeable ideas in bloom.
At the heart of 82 Birds lies a bigger goal—happiness in our daily lives that we can spread to others. We easily accomplish this by doing what we love—creating, learning, experiencing and interacting with not clients, but our fellow humans. People that we eventually have a distinct and mutually beneficial relationship with. We’ve successfully provided the fine folks we’ve had the opportunity to work with solutions founded in functional creativity, and with each new opportunity comes another chance to nurture our goal.
Being a husband and wife team, we are not only married to each other, but to our work as well! And we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a great thing waking up in the morning to a life that fosters such delight.
We’re spreading our wings
We feel extremely fortunate that we are able to live in a free world with plenty of necessities and niceties. Since this is not the case for all of our fellow humans, a portion of our profits is donated to Heifer International; an organization that helps people help themselves.
